Shop for Gucci Watch
About Gucci Watches
It started from humble
beginnings in 1920. Guccio Gucci opened a shop in
Florence featuring his fine leathergoods accessories for
men and women. Soon after, he and his sons, Aldo, Ugo,
Vasco and Rodolfo, spread the Gucci name to Rome and
Milan. By 1953, even New York City had a Gucci store
selling the world famous Gucci classics - handbags with
a bamboo handle, moccasins with snaffle-bit detailing,
trademark G belt clasps, and printed silk foulards and
ties. By the late '60s additional stores had been opened
in London, Palm Beach, Paris, Beverly Hills and Tokyo.
Soon after, Rodolfo's son Mauritzio resurrected his
grandfather's motto, "Stay small to remain great" and
cut the Gucci line back from over 20,000 items to 5,000
and recaptured the prestigious brand's focus on high
quality accessories. Fortunately, the Gucci collection
of fine watches survived.
Today, Gucci watches are modern interpretations
of the original classic Gucci style. Each watch is an
individual commitment to both Swiss precision and good
taste. The signature G Series models feature stainless
steel construction, scratch-resistant hard metal bezels
in the G design, sapphire crystals and a variety of dial
colors. Available in link bracelet with push-button
double fold clasps or black patent leather strap, the G
Series is offered in men's, women's and junior sizes.
Other dress and sporty designs feature 18 karat gold or
stainless steel rotating cases with signature G on case backs, bracelets with signature Gucci buckle
closure, and lizard-embossed leather straps and bangles
in a wide variety of colors. Truly the ultimate in
timekeeping fashions - Gucci watches capture the art of
watch making and style at their finest.
